Infinity Bloom 8 is the very first Fractal Islamic Pattern I ever designed. It is a pattern which, like its companion piece, Starburst 8, prominently features the eight-fold rosette commonly found in art and architecture throughout the Islamic world. Gradual shading from dark green through yellow gives the piece an organic, earthy feel, evoking in viewers thoughts of flowers, fungi, or moss.
This first print of this piece is part of the permanent collection at the Simons Center for Geometry and Physics at Stony Brook University.
